This Blackwood flitch contains almost 1000 board feet of lumber! The boards average about 3 feet wide- with the widest areas spanning up to 4 feet. Along with impressive size, this flitch has a very interesting shape; allowing furniture makers to be very creative. Perhaps the most amazing features in this flitch are the unbelievable color and figure. The color ranges from gold to black and everywhere in between. The figure ranges from a birdseye figure to a compression quilt. Definitely one of a kind!! |
