Description:

This Tasmanian Blackwood flitch was the nicest 36"+ wide log that we cut in 2007. The slabs average about 30" inches wide with very heavy curly figure. The outside slabs show some birdseye figure as well. With really nice dark color and figure this flitch could be used for musical instruments. However due to the unusual width this flitch offers the oppurtunity to use these boards for one of a kind table top. This flitch was cut in April 2007 and has not been kiln dried.

Note: All pictures of boards that appear wet, have been wiped with denature alcohol to help show natural color. We use denature alcohol because it evaporates and does not effect the moisture content of the wood.
