Description: |
| This flitch is a European White Oak log that was excavated from a bog in Austria. The bog preserved the log from rotting and turned the normally light colored wood to a deep chocolate brown. This log has been carbon dated at the University of Salzburg at 4500 years old. Bog wood due to age shows much more defects then most available species. So note these boards show many defects but can be used in smaller rippings that are ideal for fine furniture. |
