Description:

8 foot diameter Burr Oak Log that weighed around 20,000 pounds. One of our best ever that came from English estate in the UK. Very heavy burl figure with great color. Some board show brown color. This flitch produced over 1500 board feet of lumber. The flitch had more boards then this template could accomadate so flitch #'s 11090 & 11092 are from the same tree. So more boards are available then whats listed below. Most boards measure 3 to 5 feet wide by 5 to 7 feet long. Every board is highley figured and most boards are covered with burl. This is a one of a kind flitch. Most of this flitch will be dried in 2008.

Note: All pictures of boards that appear wet, have been wiped with denature alcohol to help show natural color. We use denature alcohol because it evaporates and does not effect the moisture content of the wood.
