Description: |
This is one of the best flitches that we have ever cut. Koa is a world class wood that only comes from Hawaii. This treasured species is becoming very rare due to the area it grows and the regulations in place to make it sustainable. It is also very rare to find Koa in large diameter logs because the species is very suspect to damage and deteriates very quickly. This Koa flitch is by far the biggest that we have ever cut and one of the few that works for single piece table tops. The boards of this flitch have very good color from bright gold to deep red. Every board is highley figured with compression flame figure to curly mixed in between. Due to all these qualities this flich is very special and will make a one of a kind table or piece of furniture. Serious inquires only- this material is very expensive. |
