Description:

This crotch Belizean Mahogany flitch is about as good as it comes. This particular log came from a hurricane concession. The material is mostly crotch material with top notch figure. One piece is extra thick offering you the possiblity for resawing. Note: this material is being sold as dry material - even though it has never been kiln dried. The material has been air drying for 5 years and is close to being ready for use. It can be kiln dried upon request, but air drying crotch material minimizes the checking.

Note: All pictures of boards that appear wet, have been wiped with denature alcohol to help show natural color. We use denature alcohol because it evaporates and does not effect the moisture content of the wood.
