Description:

An exquisite Birdseye Maple flitch. It is very unusual for us to catalogue Birdseye Maple this way but due to the big "eyes" and impressive width this log was perfect for "flitching". Boards with this kind of width and incredible figure are ideal for just about any project. Please note that most boards are not flat and will need additional plaining or to be cut down into smaller pieces- this is very common for this species. The log is priced at $20 a bf and you must purchase the entire flitch. If you are doing a project that requires less material please check out our internet store or call and speak to our Maple Sales Manager, Chris Tankalavage, as we have a huge inventory of Birdseye Maple.

Note: All pictures of boards that appear wet, have been wiped with denature alcohol to help show natural color. We use denature alcohol because it evaporates and does not effect the moisture content of the wood.
