Description:

This Redwood lace burl is the biggest burl that we have ever had here at Hearne Hardwoods Inc. The widest slabs measure up to 90 inches wide and have up to 250 board feet of lumber. This flitch is from the root of a gigantic Redwood tree. All the slabs have awesome figure and are ideal for one of a kind table tops. The potential of these slabs are endless and an endmatched table could be as big at 15 feet long and 7 feet wide. If you are looking for our biggest then this flitch is for you.

Note: this flitch has never been kiln dried, it has been air dried for about two years. It is testing dry on the outside but the center might still be wet. Slabs could be used for table tops in the near future. Kiln drying can be done upon request.

Note: All pictures of boards that appear wet, have been wiped with denature alcohol to help show natural color. We use denature alcohol because it evaporates and does not effect the moisture content of the wood.

very bottom piece, biggest piece in stack, unbelievable size, burl figure is still excellent, shows some rot at one end but very stable piece, it is atleast 4 3/4" inches thick in all spots and at rot end measures as thick as 7" inches.
