Description:

Beautiful big Sapele flitch that is ideal for 2 piece and single piece table tops. Most boards show some figure-the outside boards show pommelle and the larger boards show a ropey flame. The boards also have real nice grain patterns and color. Most boards are high quality and one half of the log is mostly clear. The second half does show some defects but would be great for character furniture.

It is also worth noting that the center quarter sawn boards are not listed below (8 pieces of 5/4 about 18 inches wide). These pieces show beautiful ribbon grain and excellent color. They too are available for sale and exact measurements and pictures can be provided upon request.

Note: All pictures of boards that appear wet, have been wiped with denature alcohol to help show natural color. We use denature alcohol because it evaporates and does not effect the moisture content of the wood.
