This Black Walnut flitch has impressive width with most pieces averaging 30 to 36 inches (if the natural edge was removed and the boards were cut into square pieces)- Across the crotch the boards average 48 to 54 inches wide. It also has impressive 12 foot lengths and a nice uniform natural edge. This is a very high end flitch that is ideal for table tops- minimal defects and some figure, including nice crotch figure. |
