Description:

This Black Walnut flitch is about as rare as they come. It is an Eastern Black Walnut from New York. The boards have nice uniform shape with 40 inch plus width. The boards range from 40 to 61 inches wide by 9 feet long- making them perfect for most table tops. This size Black Walnut flitch only comes around every once in a while and it very special when we get boards that are mostly clear at this width. This log yielded 4 or 5 prime boards that have consistent width, minimal defects and impressive color and crotch figure. This is one of our best flitches.

Note: All pictures of boards that appear wet, have been wiped with denature alcohol to help show natural color. We use denature alcohol because it evaporates and does not effect the moisture content of the wood.
