Welcome! There are more than 50,000 wood species in the world and over the years we have probably come in contact with about 200 to 250 of them. At the present time, we maintain about 140 different hardwoods.

We know that the wood buying decision can be a difficult one; therefore this portion of our website covers our knowledge of the woods that we keep in stock or have carried at some point. It is designed as a "search feature" allowing you to browse by species, picture, domestic or exotic and then providing a detailed information page on each species- including the wood's characteristics, properties, availability and of course, some sample photographs.
